Community is at the heart of the Town of Los Altos Hills’ identity and values. As the Town moves through the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, they are committed to engaging the public through public hearings and study sessions as well as informational resources available through the Town and partner websites. As new renewable energy topics are brought before the council, notices will be available on the town website and at Town Hall. The Town has and will continue to host community study sessions on renewable energy topics such as electrifying your home, Town subsidies, as well as new renewable energy ordinances. Electrification is not an overnight process and the goals of reducing town greenhouse gas emissions will take time and a multi-faceted, innovative solutions. By keeping public involvement and input at the forefront of the efforts to move towards a fully renewable future, the Town of Los Altos Hills will land on solutions which best meet the needs of the greatest possible number of residents.
